11 walkers set out from the Eaves Wood car park through the wood and onto a stretch of embankment following the railway track. This took us to Middlebarrow Wood and through Middlbarrow Quarry. On to Arnside Tower and  through Arnside Knott Wood where we had a coffee break at the Knott. We then headed to Dobshall Wood and a stretch of pathway through the outskirts of Arnside before making our way down to the beach on the estuary. We followed the beach path to Grubbins Wood and our lunch stop. After lunch we headed inland past New Barnes and through Frith Wood heading towards Arnside Point. Following the Estuary footpath we walked through Arnside Park and on up to Far Arnside. Out of the woodland, passing the Holgates Holiday Centre, we made our way into Elmslack where we eventually accessed Eaves Wood again following  a footpath through the woods back to our cars.
