| Comments: | Five walkers accompanied the leader on this pleasant walk which combined the valleys of Swindale and Mosedale with a visit to Shap Abbey. The course of Swindale Beck has recently been changed to something like it’s original course which was changed many years ago to give more farmland. It is hoped that the new “bendy” course will improve the flora and fauna in the valley and encourage salmon and trout to spawn. |
