| Comments: | This circular route rose gently to Heald Farm before descending to the River Calder in Calder Vale. There was then a bit of a climb up to Sullum Side before a gentle descent to Garstang. The group were given the choice of visiting the hamlet of Calder Vale which added a further mile and a half to the proposed route. A very enjoyable walk with plenty of views such as the Fylde Coast and the Pennines. Seventeen people took part in the main walk and a further ten took a more leisurely three-mile walk. |
