| Weather: | Warm sunshine from start to finish. No wind in the morning but a breeze picked up in the afternoon. | ||
| Comments: | 12 walkers. Great views from Cross Fell to 9 Standards; the Howgills to High Street, Kidsty and Blencathra. No other walkers seen on a Bank Holiday Sunday. Lambs, skylarks, curlew, marsh marigolds, primroses, violets and cowslips. (Most if not all seen outside the Asby Scar National Nature Reserve!) |
