| Comments: | This figure of eight walk was over tracks, lanes and field paths. The walk offered views of Mellor, Preston, Beacon Fell, Longridge Fell and Billinge Hill to the south. Being spring, leaves on trees and wild flowers were bursting forth. The sound of bird song could also be heard. Entrance to Samlesbury Hall is free and the café provides good food well presented. On the down side one young lady came a cropper when a dead tree branch tripped her up. She appeared not to be hurt. | ||
