| Comments: | Six set off from Beetham heading first for Greystone where we joined the Lancaster canal which we followed to Duke’s Bridge. We stopped here for a break before setting off on our only real climb of the day up to the summit of Farleton Fell. The views from here were very good today. We left the summit to cross the impressive limestone pavements to Newbiggin Crags where we stopped for lunch. We then dropped down through Burton-in-Kendal and Holme on our return to Beetham. |
