| Comments: | A steady ascent took the group to Read Heights. Then using Back Lane, which passed between Robinsons Wood and the aptly named Shady Walks, the group reached Black Hill car park. Here good views could be seen. The return route was via Well Wood, White Hill, Read Heights and part of the outward route to return to The Stork for lunch. On Read Heights, which the group passed through twice, an amorous Bull was doing what he was supposed to do and so he wasn’t interested in the eighteen walkers passing through his territory. Three, more mature, people did their own shortened version of the walk. Good food was had by all at The Stork |
