10 Walkers set out from the Tockholes Information centre following a track direction and a steady climb over Darwen Moor up Darwen Hill to reach the Trig point and Jubilee Tower. We took a short break and coffee stop to allow those who wanted to climb the Tower. We then started a long downward stretch and on reaching the hamlet of Sunnyhurst, we made our way into Sunnyhurst Park, where we stopped for a lunch break. On through the park and followed a route for Hawkshaw then round to The Height Farm. Our next path took us across Darwen Golf |Course following a footpath which eventually led to Tockholes and a stroll around the churchyard. On to Higher Crowtrees Farm and across farmland tracks reaching a turning point at Red Lea Farm where again our pathway was farm track and open fields. We passed Higher Hill Farm making our way to the weir separating the two areas of Roddlesworth reservoir, we followed the edge of the reservoir through Tockholes plantation to eventually reach the road and crossing this into the car park of the Information centre our walk was complete
