17 walkers set out from the roadside car park making our way past The Silverdale Hotel into the village of Silverdale. Out of the village we headed into Eaves Wood, following the clear path we passed through Holgate’s Holiday Park where we stopped for coffee. Out of the park passing the derelict Tower we headed into Middle Barrow Wood, the route was changed slightly to take us away from the estuary path as this has been thoroughly eroded and difficult to negotiate. We stopped for lunch in Arnside Park another wooded area. After lunch we headed out to Blackstone Point and followed the coastal path along Far Arnside to eventually follow green pathways back to our start point on Cove Road.
