Walk:	Snow covered open fells and Arthur's Pike

Weather:	Cold with clear skies early on turning cloudy with the prospect of further snow.
Comments:	Only Ray and Tony joined John to brave the conditions and we soon found that the snow, which had been a couple of centimetres deep soon started to get deeper. By the time we were climbing up to Loadpot it had in places become thigh deep making progress painfully slow. With the daylight hours still being short we had to cut our losses and abandon the climb, instead making for Arthur’s Pike. Our return took us passed Helton Fell and Knotts for Riggingleys Top and the descent into Askham. An enjoyable day despite the cold and having to cut the walk short
