| Comments: | This walk was planned as a trip to the Priests Cave but owing to low cloud and strong winds it was decided not to search for the cave but to leave it for another day, preferably with better conditions. |

A bridge to nowhere. The winter storms have re-routed the stream . . .

Looking back we can see Place Fell and just out of the picture on the left is St Sunday Crag
Gaining height and the wind has picked up
Our ascent to Hart Crag. There is no picture of the top as it was raining with very strong winds.
Descending Bakestone Moss we find a sheltered spot for lunch . . .
but Ray takes the prize for the most comfortable seat
Reaching Little Hart Crag . . .
where the wind seemed stronger than ever
High Hartsop Dodd with our destination in sight, albeit down a long steep edge.
High Hartsop Dodd is an anomaly as it is in fact lower than Hartsop Dodd
