| Comments: | This figure of eight walk used lanes tracks and field paths. Ten adults and two grand children (10 & 13 yrs) took part. After a wet start the sun came out and brightened up the day. Some of the stiles were quite slippery due to the weather and a new stile and fence near to Whinnyclough Brook caused a problem due to barbs remaining on the top wire of the stile. The leader, being a decent chap, did a Sir Walter Raleigh act and placed his cloak over the barbed wire. The matter as been reported to Lancashire C.C. The leader also amused his group with jokes on the way. The route utilised parts of the “Whittingham Walks” and a Cheese Trail. The Ye Horns Inn provided good food and service. |
