| Comments: | This walk took in the River Ribble, former Preston Dock, Ashton Park, the Savick Brook/Millennium Canal Link, Haslam Park and the very end of the Lancaster Canal at Preston. Not a stile, gate or field was in sight. Although the walk was through the bustling Ashton on Ribble suburb of Preston, it was difficult to envisage the busy roads just yards away. Things of interest were pointed out by the leader on route. Twenty nine persons took part and enjoyed lunch at the Ribble Pilot. | ||
