Weather:	A mixed day with sun, showers and hill fog. Very pleasant walking temperature.
Comments:	Two ladies joined the leader for this strenuous walk around the Western Fells. We began with a steep climb up Fleetwith Edge to Fleetwith Pike and continued on through the old slate mine before visiting the summits of Grey Knotts, Brandreth and Green Gable. After crossing Windy Gap, we made our way to the summit of Great Gable, which was sadly shrouded in fog. The descent to Beck Head was made very tricky because of the greasy rocks but we all made it, albeit carefully. From Beck Head we followed Moses Trod for a time before our last climb of the day over Haystacks. With the car now in sight we made our descent via Scarth Gap.
