Walk: Freckleton village, River Ribble, BAE Systems Warton Aerodrome
Start Point: The Ship Inn, Freckleton Grid Reference: SD 434 287
Distance: 4.6 miles Ascent: 200 feet
Time: 2.5 hours    
Weather: Showery and windy
Comments: There was a big turnout of 40 people for the walk. With a number of stiles and rough ground along the edge of the Ribble we decided to cut the walk by a mile in order to finish within the allotted time. The walkers were entertained by numerous fly pasts of aircraft at Warton Aerodrome, and by the sight of narrow boats in the river using the Ribble Link
