On this bright sunny morning thirty nine
persons set out to walk part of the Ribble Way. Crossing Eadsford
Bridge (see map) the group joined the Ribble Way and followed it via
the Sports Centre to join the river as it passed through Low Moor.
Walking upstream the band of Judith’s followers reached Bradford
Bridge at Horrocksford and then used it to cross the river.
Returning downstream the route passed through the grounds of Waddow
Hall, a Girl Guide Centre, before re-crossing the river on a
pedestrian bridge to Low Moor. Retracing their steps the group
returned to the Edisford Bridge Inn for a well-earned lunch. After
recent heavy rain the river path was a little claggy in places and
some of the fields were saturated. Another nice walk in the Ribble
Valley. |
