Walk: Kinder Trespass Plaque in Bowden Quarry, Tunstead Clough Farm, Kinder Low End, Kinder Low, Kinder Downfall, Upper Western Buttress, Kinder Reservoir, Booth. Including stretches of the Pennine Way and the Pennine Bridle Way
Start Point: Sett Valley Trail CP, Hayfield Grid Reference: SK 036 868
Distance: 9.1 miles Ascent: 1,600 feet
Time: 6 hours    
Weather: Overcast, wet and windy until two thirds of the way down from the Upper Western Buttress. It brightened up for the last hour.
Comments: 12 walkers. Despite the poor weather, it was a busy day over Kinder Scout with 11 Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award groups from Oundle School. Given the water flowing down Red Brook, it was as well that the route had been changed to go up the steeper, but drier Kinder Low End after the first reccie.
