The walk included stretches of the Bronte Way,
Pendle Way, the Pennine Bridle Way and the Winewall Circular via
Covey Bridge, Wycoller, Dean House Farm, the Little Chair Stones,
Boulsworth Hill, Lad Law, the Abbot Stone, Bedding Hill Moor, Alder
Hurst Head, Trawden, Far and Near Wanless, Higher Stunstead,
Winewall and Cotton Tree |

Fine, cold and overcast. On
the higher part of Boulsworth Hill the ground was frozen with some
ice, and the wind was very strong. |
| Comments: |
The idea for the walk came from doing
the Winewall Circular Walk as part of the 2012 Pendle Walking
Festival. We were fortunate to find the upper part of Boulsworth
Hill largely frozen as this probably made it better for walking than
it might otherwise have been. Although Boulsworth Hill was in mist,
the route was easy to find because of the frequent marker posts. 14
hardy walkers braved the elements. |
