A group of ten people took part in the
walk, first ascending to High Moor and then circumnavigated Higher
Barn before returning to Higher Moor Lane. After walking around
Hunters Hill and quarry the group then descended to Parbold to join
the Leeds to Liverpool Canal. Later they left the canal to join Wood
Lane and then struggling through three fields of mud, the best that
nature could provide, they commenced a gentle climb through Fairy
Glen to reach the start point. Although a little tired, wet and
muddy the group enjoyed the walk which afforded murky views of the
Pennines and salad growing area of West Lancashire. Thank you
