Joint Christmas Dinner walk:

Burton-in Kendal, Priest Hutton & Borwick
Start Point: Longlands Hotel at Tewitfield Grid Reference: SD 519 736
Distance: 7.5 mls Ascent: 700 feet
Time: 4.25 hours    
Weather: Cloudy, turning brighter and sunny.
Comments: 26 walkers set off north along the old remnants of the Lancaster Canal and locks that were cut off at Tewitfield when the M6 was built. At Moss Bridge it was across the fields to the back of the Burton-in-Kendal Services and on to Burton-in-Kendal and a coffee stop to the west of the village. Heading south now through Dalton Park to Priest Hutton and another coffee stop near the church. On to Borwick and back to the Lancaster Canal, south of Tewitfield which is still navigable. Nice and sunny for the last leg back to Longlands, in good time for a change of clothes and a festive drink before the meal.
