Four Days at Rydal Hall

During September, fifteen members of the club spent four days, Monday to Thursday, at Rydal Hall. We were delighted to be joined by Robina and Gary.

Most of us wasted no time getting on our boots and having a walk either on reaching the Lake District or after arriving at Rydal Hall.

The following day, Tuesday, had the best weather forecast for the week so the 'A' party ascended Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike. The remainder of the party went to Watendlath via Rosthwaite Fell and then walked back to Keswick.

The weather on Wednesday was unsettled so the whole party caught the bus to St Johns in the Vale. We went up High Rigg and then walked into Keswick via Castlerigg.

The following day we returned home but not before some of us had another walk.

We all had a most enjoyable time and are very grateful to June for organising the accommodation. We were made most welcome at Rydal Hall and are looking forward to another visit next year.
