Largely fine, sunny and
warm, although there was a brief light shower of rain when we
reached Roeburndale Road. |
| Comments: |
9 walkers. It was a reflection on the
wet summer that even after a dry week, it was very wet underfoot
over the access land of Whit Moor. The trig point on the moor gave
us wonderful 360 degree views taking in the Bowland fells,
Yorkshire's 3 Peaks, Lunesdale, Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. |

Good land for frogs
At first Whit Moor presented a benign
challnege
It soon became a very different experience
Meanwhile flies and wasps were feasting
Ingleborough was to be seen for much of the
walk
