On this wet and miserable day fourteen
people turned up to join Brian on a circular walk using the
Rossendale Way. After a short climb towards Nab Hill the route
turned east followed the Rossendale Way to Windy Harbour Farm.
Fortunately the persistent rain was coming from behind the group.
Leaving the Rossendale Way at Windy Harbour Farm Brian led the group
down to Holden Wood Reservoir and then headed west before crossing
the dam of Calf Hey Reservoir. From the reservoir the group returned
to Clough Head Car Park a little wet and bedraggled. The group then
returned by car to The Grey Mare Inn for lunch. A nice walk - a
shame about the weather. |
