As we set off the autumn colours are clear to see
A beautiful tree with Fairfield in the distance
We set off on the familiar footpath up Hartsop Above How
Looking back towards Patterdale, Arnison Crag on the left and Place Fell on the right . . .
and again from higher up

This makes a great spot for our tea break with stunning views all around
From here we set off on the ascent of Hart Crag in the distance

As we climb higher Morecambe Bay can be seen

We drop down from Fairfield following the path off Cofa Pike
From here there are very clear views to the west . . .
and to the east down Deepdale . . .
and down to Grisedale Tarn
This makes an ideal spot for lunch where, as usual, the poser takes full advantage of the photo opportunity!

and across to Helvellyn
The summit of St Sunday Crag is eventually reached

We set off from St Sunday Crag . . .
and it's not long before Ullswater comes into view

to follow the wall down to Trough Head
From here there are stunning views across Ullswater . . .
