Unfortunately the original venue gave
back word just over a week before the walk. On a better note,
because of the recent rain this walk proved to be less muddy than
the intended walk around Longton. The route was mainly on paths and
tracks with only four fields to cross. It included both suburbia and
open countryside. Most of the twenty three walkers then lunched at
'The Sir Tom Finney', with some taking advantage of the senior
citizen offer of gammon, egg, chips and peas at £3.75. |
