Walk: Stone Circle, Great Asby Scar and Orton Scar
 
Start Point: Orton Grid Reference: NY 622 083
Distance: 13.2 miles Ascent: 1,100 feet
Time: 6 hours    
Weather: Brilliant. With clear blue skies, little wind and high temperatures.
Comments: Whilst this walk only has moderate amounts of ascent, it does have plenty of interest in the terrain which it covers, the terrain ranging from fields to limestone paving and all on good paths. With height gained on both of the scars, we had views to the Lake District, Howgills and over into Yorkshire. Unfortunately, due to the heat and humidity these views tended to be rather hazy. Eleven people enjoyed the walk, with some tucking into ice-cream from the local cafe come chocolate shop.
