| Comments: | Due to unforeseen circumstances, this was a change of leader and therefore a change from the programmed walk. This walk was unreccied. That notwithstanding, 17 brave souls followed the stand-in leader, one of whom arrived early for the short walk and was conscripted! The leader saw 3 herons, a deer and a shrew. In between the showers there were great views of Pendle, covered in a light dusting of snow, and as a bonus, John Hood enlightened us about the historic importance of Ings Beck as the one-time boundary between Mercia and Northumbria. | ||
